I loved Cinder though so I'm a bit sad that you didn't enjoy it as much. But, I'm glad you liked it enough that you want to give Scarlet a try. I still need to read the Sweet Evil series.A Canadian Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07127164685941412250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996358455095616634.post-7875689031741449042013-12-15T12:00:36.760-06:002013-12-15T12:00:36.760-06:00Aw, I'm sorry you didn't fully love Cinder...Aw, I'm sorry you didn't fully love Cinder. I had some mixed thoughts about the first book, but I've heard nothing but good things about this one. Thanks for sharing. :)Sam (Realm of Fiction)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04440380021875536125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996358455095616634.post-78356244590021908132013-12-15T09:51:59.297-06:002013-12-15T09:51:59.297-06:00SWEET PERIL!!!! Maybe Kaidan more than Anna, but that can't really be helped. I just adore him. I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I CANNOT WAIT for Sweet Reckoning:)Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996358455095616634.post-68282532481886608132013-12-15T09:39:56.853-06:002013-12-15T09:39:56.853-06:00I'm in love with Cinder, but I think I loved t...I'm in love with Cinder, but I think I loved the sequel Scarlet more. Things came together, more world-building and some of my favourite characters are introduced (hello Thorne <3)Mel@Thedailyprophecyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01516514938771433319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996358455095616634.post-60455567012688064172013-12-15T07:12:20.855-06:002013-12-15T07:12:20.855-06:00Despite having a few issues I'm glad you enjoy...Despite having a few issues I'm glad you enjoyed Cinder overall! I haven't read Of Poseidon yet. I'm a little cautious about it since it has a lot of mixed reviews. Cinder, however, I'm quite obsessed with, lol. It's actually one of my best of 2013 reads. I hope you like Scarlet more!Chelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09113611207753873326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996358455095616634.post-24948182389375328942013-12-14T21:00:26.593-06:002013-12-14T21:00:26.593-06:00I felt the same way about Cinder - none of the ele...I felt the same way about Cinder - none of the elements truly came together and clicked for me because of the lack of world-building. Moreover, the reveal at the end was obvious from the beginning of the story itself, which was a little disappointing. Plus, like you, I enjoyed the relationship between Cinder and Kai, but didn't love it. The sequel, Scarlet, is much better, IMO. I really fell for the romance between Scarlet and Wolf and though the world-building doesn't improve, it is a stronger book than Cinder - for me at least. I'm curious to see what you think of it! :)Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.com
