Coveresque feat. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore (US vs.UK vs.German)
I have three very different covers (US, UK, German) of BITTERBLUE by Kristin Cashore for you. My favourite is the German cover. Which one do you like best?
I love the colors of US and UK - but I think the UK looks too much MG and the US to plain... If one could add a catching color to the German one it would be perfect :))
Wow, they're so different! I like the first version I saw, of course, the US version, but the German one is certainly pretty :) But seems more... historical? I don't really know which one's better since I haven't read the first two books (yet! I discovered my local library has them, too, so I expect to read it soon :) ).
I agree, the German cover does look historical! I didn't like the first book, but that could be because I read the German translation. Many people love the books, so I think I should give the English second book a try
Actually I like them all. I am kinda obsessed with keys (I know, it's weird) so the US definitely has my attention. The German one looks very graceful, although the colouring is a bit dull. But I have the other two books from the UK publisher so I'll definitely be buying that one :)
I have to admit I like the US cover. Something to do with the keys. Like @DarlingNickey, I seem to have an obsession with it as well. It's probably because it reminds me of the key on the book cover for Jennifer Donnolly's Revolution.
I have this thing for keys, especially antique looking ones, so I really love the US cover. I like the adventurous look of the UK one, though (for the whole series).
The UK covers for this series are HANDS DOWN the winners. Hands down!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe US cover is pretty, but I'm drawn to the UK and German versions more.

I think the US cover triumphs. :D

ReplyDeleteThe german one looks too much like Sweet Venom for me. The UK one is the most eye-catching - and I adore the colours! :)

ReplyDeleteI have to go with the German cover as most appealing to me, but the US one matches the covers of the other books here, so I'll make do. ;)
