Cover Costume Candy

Happy Halloween guys! Hope you are having a spooktacular evening. My night will be spent watching The Walking Dead Season One. Or attempting to. The first time I wanted to watch the series I had to quit after only about five minutes. Yes, I'm very easily scared.
I haven't picked out a Halloween costume to wear, but can't wait to see what (possibly bookish) characters you will be embodying. When I started to collect post ideas for my YA Halloween Fear Factor special I wanted to do something with costumes. I thought of all the beautiful book covers on my shelves and knew I had to compose a list of my favourite YA book cover inspired costumes. I selected pieces of clothes, accessories and beauty products and put together looks for a fancy costume party.
And what would a party be without a great cocktail? Of course every YA cover costume heroine or hero gets her/his appendant drink.

  1. OK.. this was a great great post!! You should start a Polyvore !! I really love some of the things you picked and now I am going to go try to find them and buy them!!

    1. Thanks so much! Thought about making an account. I'm in love with the looks, too, because it took many hours to put them together:) I'm so getting the Asunder ring!

  2. Wow I'm loving all the effort that you went to with this post, the outfits and drinks you've come up with are incredible! I wish that I had read this post a lot sooner! There are so many great outfits to choose from here, I'd probably choose between the Everneath one and A Darkness Strange and Lovely, because they look gorgeous! Thanks for sharing such a brilliant post! :)

    1. Yes, I bet the Everneath and A Darkness Strange and Lovely outfits would look very nice on you. I'm so into purple at the moment, so I'd probably choose that outfit as well. Thank you for commenting. Happy about everyone who likes this post!

  5. Love these looks, girl! I think the Vixen one is my fave or the Tiger Lily. But really I love them all and want these pretty dresses.

  6. Such a cool idea, these were so much fun to look at and they're all so fitting. I love how you didn't choose a dress for Karou but still made her costume fancy and chic.
