Probably it was the false king and we were walking right into his trap, but I had to see what was up there. The boys drew their weaspons, and I pulled my blade, feeling my heart pound in my chest, whether in nervousness or exictement, I couldn't tell.

    I agree with you: If page one has a quote that good, the rest of the book MUST be something special. That's how I knew that was the quote to use!

    I own the first book in this series, but I haven't read it yet. Your teaser makes me anxious to pick it up. It sounds really intense and full of epic fantasy. Before, I was just "meh" over it. :)
