Book Blogger Hop #7

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-for-Books and is an awesome way to for book bloggers to interact and find each other. This week's question is:

How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

I get most of my books from Netgalley or the Simon & Schuster Galley Grab. Then I purchase some from online booksellers or am lucky enough to get review copies from UK publishers:) Wish I could get more from the library, but mine doesn't have English YA books...

  1. I use NetGalley too and I love it. It is a great way to get new books to read.

  2. I love those galley sites too! I am always anxious to get S&S in the email box! New follower. My answer is up at Coffee Table Reviews.

  3. Sorry your library doesn't have YA books .... can they interlibrary loan them? That's what our library does and it allows us to get all kinds of stuff.

I keep meaning to try NetGalley --- maybe once I get through my current stack o' books. :)

  4. I’m seeing a pattern of book acquisition here. After all, there are just so many places to get books and so many different ways to read them.

It’s hard to beat the library for price and selection but it’s even harder to beat the convenience of browsing BN or Amazon from a Nook or Kindle, hitting a button and reading the book you picked in about sixty seconds.

As usual, my answer to this week’s Book Blogger Hop question is all over the map. Hop on over and read my multipart answer –

  5. another netgallery user..I will have to check that out for sure ;)

  6. I'd love to use NetGalley. I'm going to try, again, reading on the PC screen and hope that I manage it because I'd like to sign up for it but backlit screens bother my eyes and I struggle. *fingers crossed*
