Coveresque feat. Graceling by Kristin Cashore (US vs. UK vs. German)

Tell me, which GRACELING cover do you like best?  US on the left, we've got the UK cover in the middle and the German one on the right side. Displaying swords the English covers lay focus on the aggressive side of Katsa. The German cover shows the heroine's  sensitive and weak side, fighters are supposed to always guard their backs.

  1. I have the UK version on my shelf and I really like it. The German version is beautiful, too, but I don't like the translation of the title :/
The US cover is not so much my cup of tea :/

  4. I like the German one best, it has a more mature feel to it than the US cover does.

  6. These are all awesome in their own way! US looks mythical, UK is the most striking, and German makes me wonder about the character and emotions. But as for picking a favorite, I just can't on this one...

  9. WOW. Those have some of the most beautiful covers, all three of them. But for me, it's a tie between the second and third (UK and German). Fun post! :D

  10. UK all the way. It represents Katsa perfectly!
Did you see that there was another German one? It will be released by Piper this year.

  12. I like the US one the best. It just looks kind of like an ancient book and I like that.

  14. I like the UK one - the woman in shadow and the striking storm behind her - it seem more action orientated than the US or the UK one. US cover I wouldn't even bother picking up.

  15. I like the UK one best, the German one doesn't really look like a fantasy book and I don't think it fits the book all that well, and I don't like the US one much... :L I loved the book though, need to buy the second one :L Happy reading!

  16. I like the German cover the best! The U.S. one has the best overs but it's sort of obscure...

  19. The UK cover is really cool. It seems to capture the idea of the book the best - but the US cover has the different eye colors (back), and I think that is really important.
