Coveresque feat. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (US vs. UK vs. German)
Tell me, which Mockingjay cover do you like best? US on the left, UK in the middle and the German one on the right side. Or do you prefer the cover from another country?
I like both the US and the German ones for different reasons. The German one is visually the most stunning, but the US one is SHINY and blue.... It's hard to say no to shiny and blue heh~~
I like the German one. I'm from Australia, and our paperback is the UK cover, and our hardcover is the US one. I have the paperback UK one, and it's probably my least favorite. It's just...crowded.
I'd have to say that the German cover is very stunning. However knowing what the story is about; I'd say I like the US cover best, after all, it's all about the Mockingjay right?
Generell finde ich eigentlich die deutschen Cover am schönsten. Aber das US-Cover für Mockingjay ist auch schön geworden. Ich hab leider das UK-Cover ;D (weil ich die anderen Ausgaben auch in der UK-Version habe)
I like this one, too, but I would go for the US version just because of the important Mockingjay on it. The change in the US covers is stunning and to me reflects the story's atmosphere best: from black and the darkest days in The Hunger Games, to a charged red atmosphere in Catching Fire and finally to a cool blue peace in Mockingjay.
Have to agree on the horrible look of the UK cover, but unfortunately I've got this version, too:D
Definitely the German cover on the right!
ReplyDeleteGerman cover is stunning, but I have to say that I rather like the US covers :)

The German Cover. I felt like the US one was too...bright for the story.
ReplyDeleteAnd the UK one is really weird.
I think I still like the US one. It's timeless. When photographic covers go out of style, the US cover will still be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like the German cover...
ReplyDeletethe US cover was too simple...
the UK cover was too illustrative...
huhu...

ReplyDeleteI never really liked the US cover. It doesn't even really match the previous two.
ReplyDeleteThe UK cover is awful. It almost has that "self-published" look to it.
The German cover is lovely. It's definitely my favourite out of the three.
So the German one!!! It makes me want to buy the book in German just to have the cover... I never liked the US, I found it boring..
ReplyDeleteI have the UK cover but I prefer the German one :)

The German covers are always SO good!
ReplyDeleteWow the German cover is your favourite!:)

I like the German cover, but I prefer the US one, because it's o symbolic of the book. I love this bird escaping its prison!
ReplyDeleteI like the US cover most.. The UK one is just very strange in my opinion, and in the German one the leaves are a little bit strange.
ReplyDeleteThe German covers are so different but I still like the US Mockingjay one better :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the German cover! The Norwegian one is almost identical to the US one :)
